Community Projects Africa is a UK registered non-profit charity established in 2003 to provide support to impoverished people living in East and South Africa.
CPA seeks to fund schooling, vocational training, sanitation, provision of safe water supplies, education about Aids/HIV, assistance for families affected by Aids/HIV, and community projects in rural East and South Africa. The charity works with the elders and community councils in village communities to ensure that all projects are backed and supported by the local people they’re intended to benefit.
Funds are raised through donations and fund-raising events and money is not wasted on unnecessary administration – your money will go towards the project you want to support. The majority of admin costs are covered by the Trustees of the charity. This is one of the advantages of giving to a small charity!
We have a long relationship with CPA. We have helped them raise funds for a number of their projects, as have our clients, and supported them administratively. There’s no shortage of charities working in East Africa, and many do an excellent job. However, having watched CPA up close we know they have a remarkable ability to get substantial projects off the ground, often with very limited funding.
If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro for charity, do please consider fund-raising for Community Projects Africa. Contact us for more information on how you can support the charity.
